Eleuterio Fierros aka Instructor Gaviao
Born February 20,1979.

In February of 1997 , Gaviao watched a captivating capoeira performance at his San Antonio high school. Shortly thereafter he met and began training under the director of that performance, Professor Lalo Vieir a, who was student and nephew of the group's master, Mestre Jelon Vie ira. Gaviao trained under Professor Lalo for one and a half years until Lalo retired from teaching capoeira. Professor Esquilo Preto began teaching the San Antonio capoeira group and continued Professor Lalo's work and has remained under his instruction since that time.

Instructor Gaviao has demonstrated his skills in capoeira in several large performances. In 1999, Gaviao traveled to New York City to perform in the globally televised New Years dance marathon in Time Square. He worked under Mestre Jelon and was sponsored by Nike.
Traveling San Francisco in April of 2000, Gaviao took part in a presentation Nike in Niketown. In May of 2000, he performed with Dance Brazil at the University of Tempe, Arizona. Since 2001, he has participated in several events nationally and has taught workshops in Gainesville FL, San Antonio TX, Houston TX, Austin TX, San Diego CA, Milwaukee WI, Phoenix AZ, Durham NC, St. Louis MO, New York NY, Miami FL, Tucson AZ, and Colorado Springs CO.
After traveling, learning and teaching capoeira, Gaviao decided to open his own academy under the supervision of Professor Esquilo. In 2001 Gaviao moved to Denver, CO and started "Capoeira Denver ". He continues to teach, giving workshops around the Denver community for groups such as the Girl Scouts of America, la Raza Youth Leadership Institute Conference, the Colorado School of Mines, Regis High School, KIPP Sunshine Peak Academy and more. Recently, he started classes in Boulder CO as well.

On July 15th of 2006 Instructor Gaviao held Capoeira Denver's first annual event called a "batizado" or baptism. Gaviao teaches has more than 40 students in Denver and Boulder Colorado..
